Host Your Own Mini Marathon

Have you ever wanted to attend a marathon or SOS shop, but couldn’t make the date? Now you can host your own Mini Marathon here at the Pack Rat Guild.

All you need to do is post that you are hosting a Mini Marathon. Post the time, district, and boss battle. There is no need to list the members going. Anyone that wants to go just shows up. When you get enough toons get on and go!

Please try to organize your mini marathon as best you can, this way other members know exactly what you are trying to say. Pick a time, district, and boss battle, post it, let your friends know, and Marathon away.

You may host any kind of Boss Battle Marathon you want. You can have a soundless CEO Marathon, a Lureless CJ Marathon, an Uber VP Run followed by a VP Marathon, an Uber CFO Marathon, anything you want. As long as you follow our rules, found here, the rest is up to you.


Please try to give enough notice when you post so you have enough toons in attendance to make a full load.


If you are posting an SOS Shopping Marathon, list the cards that you will be staying for and when you will be alting if you do not see the correct SOS toon. Our standard set list is:

If you would like to shop for these cards please state somewhere in your Minithon "Cards were staying for: Standard Set". If you would like to stay for different cards, please state those cards in your Minithon Thread.

If your posting a CJ Marathon, please state whether it is going to be a Stunless CJ marathon (Where every load goes in, no one stuns, everyone pans), if it an Optional Stunless CJ marathon (Where people group up and separate into groups that don’t want a Stunless CJ, and those that do), and an Original CJ Marathon (No stunless CJ's)

If your posting a CEO Marathon, please state what suits are going where. For example, let’s say there are toons that want a lot of Pink Slips. The higher suited toons will group up and go together. Those that want an easier CEO, group up with lower suited toons and go together. It is recommended that you discuss this with the toons at the run, rather than have them sign up to be on a certain group. This way, if a toon cannot attend, there is not a space wasted. And if a toon that wanted to make the run, didn't sign up, and got left out or put into another group. If you do not want to hold your marathon this way, then you may just have a normal CEO Marathon.

That sounds awesome Banana Brain! I have one quick question ~ if I host a marathon through the Pack Rat Guild, will I be able to announce it on other sites, too? In the past, I have had most of my attendees come from TTF and I am not sure if they are all here yet.

Ooops, one more question ~ Can I schedule a basic VP marathon through this guild? Or is it preferred that I make a normal VP (non SOS shop) marathon on its own and not associated with the guild?

Crumblesnooker addressed the issue of having a VP marathon yesterday in a different thread. With you hosting your own Minithon, there is nothing saying what you can and cant do. If you want to do a regular VP marathon, go for it.

I personally dont see any reason why you cant announce your minithon on other sites. As long as people know the rules. The more the merrier. You can always plug this site and guild wherever you see fit.

Like SirBumblenoodle said, as long as the site allows you to post it there, I see no problem with it. The more the merrier. Just let them know we don't shuffle, are kind to other toons, and they MUST have fun

Glad you asked about the VP. You can have a Mini Marathon for any of the Bosses and have your marathon any way you like.The VP doesn't have to be for SOS shopping.
