PRG's First Annual Golf Tournament

Here's how it will work. You and a partner will golf head to head against another team. The tournament will be set up like the NCAA tournament with the winning team advancing. The teams will play each other on all three golf courses: easy, medium and hard. The team with the lowest total score from all three courses will advance.

Sign ups will run through Sun Jan. 3, 2010. Then you will have til the following Sunday to complete the three rounds of golf. I suggest finding a time and doing all three at the same time. Take a screenshot (F9) after completing each course, in case there is a dispute over who won. Total the pts and submit the winners to me in this thread or via PM if you are too shy to post for all. The team with the lowest combined score will be the winner.

In case of a tie, then the teams will play the medium course for the tie breaker. If still tied then play the hard course again. I have done two such tournaments before and never ended in a tie, but I'm sure it's possible.

Dates: Sign ups end 1/3/10
First round ends 1/10/10
Second round ends 1/17/10
Third round ends 1/24/10
Final round ends 1/31/10

*This is based on 16 total teams entered and the dates can be adjusted if more or less teams enter. I realize the basketball starts with 64 but I would be surprised to get that many. If there is an odd number then two teams drawn at random will have play in matches.

Please post any questions in this thread and I will answer them as quickly as possible, but am not on here during day time hours during the week. I will allow 3 weeks for sign ups with the holidays and New Year's approaching. Also is a good time to practice your game.

Winner's will be crowned First Annual PRG Golf Tournament Champions and receive a cool prize. Prize will be a PM and userpage subscription.

Please sign up with the toon name you will use and user name. If you are looking for a partner then post here and you may find a new friend. Or get your son or daughter on your team and enjoy some golf together.

Note: Banana Brain and I will participate in the event. However, the odds of us winning are probably 1:34,567. If the teams come out with an odd number then we can bow out to make it easier. You do not need to be a PRG member to participate.

Another Note: I'm not sure if there is a golfing program to cheat or not, but let's play this fair and by skill (or luck for some of us).

*Original idea by Crazy Boo Boo Fuzzysocks some two years ago. Thanks for letting the PRG use it and hope to see you participate.

I did the ATTA tournament ages ago and it was a blast! Will you pair up singles, or do we have to find a partner in advance?

I have a question before my partner and I sign up.

Do we have to use the same toon for every course? For example, let's say I were to golf with my toon that has 18 golf trophies first. And, during this tournament, he got his laff boost. Now, could I switch and use another toon that I would like to work on golf with? Or do we have to use the same toon for every course/match we do?

You can use another toon if you like. It's still you playing so go for it.
