As you may know, I use Linux. I can play Toontown just fine using W.I.N.E.
The problem I'm writing about now appeared recently. I can't login on Toontown website, meaning I can't use Live Chat, vote on polls or even buy membership. Every time I click sign in, play for free or any other link that requires me to log in (for example, enter game card code), I get redirected to http://toontown.go.com/help/technical/windows-pc
which I assume is a subtle way to say "you need windows to play!!!".
I haven't had problems like that before.
I did a few things to help recognize the problem and:
1. This is not my IP. I tried with a proxy, same thing
2. This is not Firefox. Tried with Google Chrome, same thing
3. Using UserAgent switcher doesn't help
4. Using W.I.N.E.'s web browser does not redirect me, but can't install flash so won't be able to login anyway
I understand, that Toontown does not "support Linux", but why the website? I mean, you should be able to login, buy membership and talk on live chat regardless on what operating system you use.
My question is: Toontown, why you no like my linux browser?!
I will use my sister's PC with windows, which is very slow, to talk with Live Chat later. Probably won't help, but we may try, right?
I've also sent an e-mail about this. Probably won't help either, but as I said, we may try, right? Right?
Would be awesome if anyone else with an OS other than Windows/Mac could reproduce this issue and confirm this.
